> Tournament Registration

The Herman Lucerne Memorial Backcountry Fishing Competition, a catch-and-release event, takes place September 12-14 in the waters of the Florida Bay and Everglades National Park. The event benefits Everglades Restoration Fund. The entry fee is $500 for each angler who registers before Sept. 1st; $525 each after Sept. 1st. Junior angler participation in the competition is welcome. The entry fee includes a bag of boat-related items, one ticket to the kick-off dinner Friday, September 12 and one ticket to the awards dinner on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008.

Online registration for the Herman Lucerne Memorial Backcountry Fishing Competition will stop Thursday, Sept. 12 at 5:00 pm. After that time, you may register at the Captain's meeting at Sundowner's beginning at 5:30 pm. For more information call (305)664-2444.

One Lucky angler will win a Maverick Micro powered by Yamaha with a trailer by Ameritrail in an angler only raffle. No tickets will be sold, only registered anglers will receive a raffle ticket for the boat.
